I'll admit white balance sounds completely foreign to me when I started taking up digital photography.
I still don't fully understand it after lecture class and tutorial class.
But I finally understand a little bit more what white balance is after trying out some shots.
Here are what I got for long shot:
Tenaga Nasional Berhand's Building and it's reflection.
This shot is 'Shade' mode.
While the White Balance mode for this is 'Cloudy'
I felt that this WB mode is better, as you can see the clouds are bluer and clearer.
I choose to take this picture in 'Shade' mode too.
I like this because shade WB makes the picture looks like its taken at sunset during the evening, but in reality it was taken during 3-4pm in the afternoon.
The lake at Taman Jaya.
WB: Shade
And here's some close up shots I got:
I think the Willow tree looks great with shade white balance :)
A tiny shell I found stuck on a tree.
shade white balance used.
My little cousin imitating me.
I used 'Daylight' white balance for this photo.
Daylight WB was also used for this photo.
This Ricohflex camera was given to my father by my grandfather.
WB: Daylight
Grandfather used to be a photographer himself :)
WB: Shade
I prefer this photo then the daylight WB one.
Because this gives a warmer feeling of nostalgia.
I played with shade WB for all these shots:
I couldn't get much if the yellowish tinge..
maybe because my light source was too bright.
a close up on the beads :)
