For Assignment 4, Set 1

We our main topic is Composition.

Symmetry

I thought that the tree trunk looks like a wonderful straight line to divide the photo in half,

revealing a symmetry.

I was at Gombak Zoo last Saturday with my youngest sister.

I notice the symmetry the two giraffes gave while they were feeding.

The long poll looks like a mirror reflecting 1 giraffe's image into 2.

Radial

Taken at my grandma's house.

This ceiling light always looks elegant and pretty to me.

An ant trying to get nectar from a Lily flower.

I took this because the Lily petals gives a radial shape.

Diagonal

I took this in Bentong, Pahang.

Bentong town has a lot of straight roads, leading into the housing areas.

My course mate ChinTeng posing for me as I took the photo of an arrow.

I think it shows direction well.

Overlapping

I took this as the car bumper looks overlapping from the others.

It was sports day in SJKC Bukit Tinggi.

I went and got this shot for it shows overlapping of participants in the gunny sack race.

Scale

I chose this picture for scale because you can see

the bottle is larger then the hands at the background.

Letterbox Composition

Taken in Melaka.

The paddy fields is a great place to get letterbox compositions.

As most of the elements in the picture gives a horizontal feeling.

I was taken by the oriental eyes of this young girl.

That is why I choose this photo to be letterbox composition.

I want people to focus on her eyes only when viewing the picture.
